During this module we, third year CMD students, will take on the tasks of communication advisor and designer to develop a solution for industrial application. We will map a problem and solve this by using new technologies and possibilities.

We would like to thank Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Ritz for his lectures which have helped us in the making of this report. The contents of this report are based on different sources from lectures, books, an interview and online media. These sources have been declared inside the literature list which is at the end of this report.

During the development of this project we have been very busy with assimilating the knowledge given to us to be able to understand php and other coding languages in order to be able to develop a working prototype. The prototype is a functioning application which will be discussed within the report.

The solution is found in the form of using an iPad to interact with each other. Before this solution the employees in a meeting used all kinds of communication channels, post-it’s, notes, verbal communication and others. The solution now is to combine all the channels and divide the complete communication into two parts. The iPad and verbal communication.

Using the iPad all the post-it notes, normal notes and others are stored and can be found afterwards again to be looked into. Also the information is instantaneously digitalized and is accessible for all parties. Using a CMS and a CRM the content will be managed and the contacts will be at the right place at the right time.

In this case there are the employees with among them the CEO (or another person that administrates the session) and every person has an iPad. All the iPads are linked to each other and to a main screen inside the meeting room. This way people won’t drown completely into the iPad, but will also raise their heads to together watch the information displayed on the main screen. The main screen will present the brainstorm session with the post-it notes.

As finishing touch the possibility to chat will be implemented, this way employees can chat about subjects during and after a meeting to conclude the meeting.
